Start Clean Service – Short-Term Rental Cleaning
Effective Date: January 1, 2026

I. Scope of Services

Start Clean Service ("Company," "we," "us") is a professional short-term rental cleaning and turnover company providing cleaning services exclusively for Airbnb and vacation rental properties.

For the avoidance of doubt, Start Clean Service does not act as a property manager, co-host, concierge, operations partner, or decision-maker. Our role is strictly limited to cleaning-related services performed during scheduled appointments.

All services are performed based solely on the instructions provided by the Host (“Client,” “you”) at the time of booking and within the defined scope of cleaning services.

II. Professional Turnover Cleaning Services

Our short-term rental turnover cleanings may include:

  • Cleaning and sanitizing kitchens, bathrooms, floors, appliances, and high-touch surfaces

  • Bed-making and linen setup using linens supplied by the Host

  • Towel folding and placement

  • Light straightening for guest readiness

  • A post-clean visual walkthrough to confirm completion

Services do not include maintenance, repairs, deep restoration, pest control, inventory management, or supervision of guests.

III. Essentials Delivery & Restocking (Optional Cleaning Add-On)

Start Clean Service may offer an optional Essentials Delivery & Restocking add-on for existing cleaning clients.

  • All items are delivered in person by our cleaning staff during a scheduled cleaning appointment or approved delivery window.

  • Items are placed according to written instructions provided by the Host. If no instructions are provided, items will be placed in a reasonable storage location at the cleaner’s discretion.

  • Once items are placed inside the property, ownership, custody, and responsibility immediately transfer to the Host. Start Clean Service is not responsible for guest usage, loss, theft, or depletion of supplies after placement.

This add-on does not constitute inventory management or fulfillment services.

IV. Observations & Informational Reporting

During the course of cleaning, our staff may observe conditions such as guest damage, smoking evidence, or low supply levels.

Any photos, notes, or alerts provided are informational only and do not constitute guarantees, enforcement actions, or professional assessments. The Host remains solely responsible for addressing guest-related issues.

V. Cancellation, Access & Scheduling Policy

To maintain reliable scheduling and fairly compensate assigned staff, the following policies apply:

  • Cancellations or rescheduling requests made more than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled service time will not incur a fee.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling requests made within twenty-four (24) hours of the scheduled service time are subject to a $50 administrative and labor allocation fee.

  • Same-day cancellations, including cancellations made on the day of service, will incur a $50 cancellation fee.

  • Failure to Provide Access: If our team arrives at the property and is unable to gain entry due to incorrect access codes, locked doors, unavailable keys, front desk denial, or any access-related issue, the full service fee will be charged, as staff time and travel have already been committed.

VI. Guest Overstay & Late Checkout

If a guest remains in the property at the scheduled service time:

  • A one-time fifteen (15) minute grace period may be provided at the cleaner’s discretion.

  • If the cleaner is unable to wait due to subsequent bookings, the service will be canceled and fifty percent (50%) of the cleaning fee will be charged.

  • If the cleaner is able to wait and complete the service, a $15 late checkout fee will be added to the invoice.

The Host is solely responsible for enforcing guest checkout times.

VII. Liability, Bonding & Insurance

Start Clean Service is bonded and insured for cleaning operations.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company’s total liability for any claim is limited to the cost of the specific cleaning service provided. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, normal wear and tear, or guest-related damage.

VIII. Acceptance of Terms

By booking services through our website or any connected scheduling platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
